YOGA COURSES

Discover the deeper practices of traditional yoga.

Learn the basics of yoga through our one week Foundations of Yoga Course or go even deeper in our two week Yoga In-Depth Course. Our courses are only the first step on a long journey through yoga, but they will provide you with the ability to understand the basics of yoga as well as lay the foundation for your self-practice. In our courses, you will learn the foundations of yoga philosophy, yoga asana, pranayama, and meditation practice. All teachers are highly trained with a Masters degree in yoga and have been practicing yoga for numerous years.

The primary part of our courses is the methodical teaching of yogic philosophy. Yoga is much more than physical postures and through our courses we aim to convey to you the deeper traditional aspects of yoga. In all of our courses you will learn about the Patanjali Yoga Sutras as well as an overview of yoga and the 8 limbs of yoga. These are the foundations of yogic philosophy and are essential first steps on your journey down the path of yoga. In our Yoga In-Depth Course, you will also study the Bhagavad Gita, the different types of traditional yoga and how to practice them, an overview of the chakras, and how to do yoga sadhana. The philosophy learned in our Yoga In-Depth Course is much more in depth than what we offer in our Foundations of Yoga Course and will provide you with even more experience and a deeper understanding of yogic philosophy.

Through our daily yoga schedule you will also get sufficient experience in the physical postures or asana, meditation practices, pranayama or breathing practices, and cleansing exercises or shatkarma that are the core of yoga practice. In our peaceful ashram environment up in the Himalayan Mountains surrounded by nothing but beautiful nature, you will be able to explore even deeper into these practices, and also into yourself. Come join our next course to find out!
